Simplified Metrics provides a hosted software platform that aggregates marketing and business metrics from connected third-party accounts. This policy applies to information we process about account holders, authorized users, and visitors to our public marketing pages.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in these categories:

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided through our identity provider (Clerk).
• Billing information: subscription status, plan, and Stripe customer identifiers. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
• Integration data: OAuth tokens (stored encrypted), connected account identifiers, and aggregated daily metric snapshots pulled from platforms you authorize (such as Meta, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and Stripe).
• Workspace and usage data: workspace names, date-range preferences, digest settings, report exports, and share-link metadata.
• Communications: emails we send (such as insight digests) and support correspondence.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage events collected through analytics tools to operate and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use AI service providers to generate insights from aggregated metrics you choose to connect. We do not use your data to train our own models.

• Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
• Authenticate users and manage accounts and subscriptions.
• Sync, store, and display metrics and generate reports, insights, and digests.
• Send transactional messages and optional email digests you configure.
• Detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve performance.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where applicable, we process personal data based on contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement, and analytics), consent (where required for optional communications), and legal obligation.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.

• Service providers: hosting, database, authentication (Clerk), payments (Stripe), email delivery (Postmark), analytics, and AI processing — only as needed to operate the Service.
• Integrations you authorize: when you connect a third-party account, we access that platform according to your authorization. Those platforms process data under their own policies.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.
• With your direction: when you export reports, create share links, or otherwise share content.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and metric data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you disconnect an integration or close your account, we delete or de-identify data within a reasonable period unless we must retain it for legal, security, or backup purposes.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypting integration credentials at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and update account information in the Service or by contacting us.
• Disconnect integrations at any time from the Integrations page.
• Manage email digest preferences in Settings or use unsubscribe links in digest emails.
• Cancel your subscription through the Service.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

9. Cookies and Analytics

We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and analytics. You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling cookies may limit Service functionality.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International Transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised policy with an updated "Last updated" date and provide additional notice for material changes where required.
